The oldest document mentioning this building dates from 1646. At that time, it was a swineherd’s home. The house may very well be even older. The supporting buildings date from 1607 and 1608 respectively. The overhead construction may be as old or even older, since it would have been extremely difficult at that time to tie the structure’s strong beams to existing buildings. The colouring of the beams matches the original colouring.
