Tourist Information and Town Hall

The carpenter, architect and builder Jakob Stoer built today’s town hall in the early 17th century. For a while it was also used as the bailiff’s administrative building.

In the 18th century it became the inn zum Engel (The Angel), which was the best place to stay in 1820 and closed in 1910. The assembly and banquet room was added in 1850.

From 1910 to 1922 the building was a private-owned secondary and business school, later the municipal college. The NSDAP’s county leadership had their offices here until 1945.

It has been a town hall since 1946. Here you will find the tourist information. Our team will be happy to assist you with all queries regarding guided tours, accommodation, events or outings.
